Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-12
ARBEX is an inventory acquisition intelligence platform — a subscription service that helps dealers decide which vehicles to buy, where, when, and at what price. It is software sold to businesses, not a physical product. This policy explains how free trials, cancellations, pauses, and refunds work so there are no surprises on your invoice.
1. Free trial
Every self-serve plan (Starter, Pro, Max) starts with a 14-day free trial. We ask for a card up front so we can continue your subscription automatically when the trial ends, but nothing is charged during the trial.
- Cancel any time before the 14th day from Settings → Billing and you will not be charged.
- We send a reminder before the trial converts so a paid period never starts by accident.
- If a first charge slips through because you meant to cancel during the trial, contact us within 5 days and we'll refund it in full — see §6.
2. Monthly plans
Monthly subscriptions are billed one month in advance and cancel any time. When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for; we do not pro-rate or refund the unused part of a month, and you are not billed again after that.
3. Annual plans (12-month commitment)
Annual plans are billed monthly at the discounted rate ($416 / $666 / $916 per month) in exchange for a 12-month commitment — there is no large upfront lump sum.
- You can cancel at any time, but cancelling early invoices the remaining months at the full retail rate. For example, cancelling Pro in month 6 charges the remaining 6 months at $799 each ($4,794) immediately.
- This is the trade-off for the annual discount and it is charged at cancellation, not refunded — so choose annual only if you intend to stay the full term.
- At the end of the 12 months your plan renews unless you cancel before the renewal date.
4. Pausing your subscription
Monthly subscribers can pause billing for 30, 60, or 90 days, up to a cap of 90 paused days per year. Your data and settings are preserved while paused. Annual plans cannot be paused — the 12-month commitment math doesn't accommodate it.
5. When we do issue refunds
ARBEX is a decision-support tool, not a profit guarantee. Scores and grades are probabilistic ranks (see our Terms), so we don't refund a subscription because a particular deal didn't pan out or because you didn't act on the opportunities surfaced. We do refund, as a matter of course, in these cases:
- Duplicate or erroneous charge — billed twice, or charged after a valid cancellation.
- Trial charged in error — a first invoice went out after you tried to cancel during the trial window.
- Extended outage — a sustained, ARBEX-side service failure that left the platform unusable for a meaningful part of your billing period.
Anything outside these cases is reviewed individually and at our discretion — if something feels wrong on your bill, reach out and we'll make it right where we reasonably can.
6. How to cancel or request a refund
- Cancel or pause yourself any time from Settings → Billing — no need to email or call, and no retention maze.
- Request a refund through contact with your account email and the charge in question.
- Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. Founding-10 program
The first 10 monthly subscribers who apply code FOUNDING30 get 30% off for the life of the subscription plus 2 free months after 10 consecutive paid months. The discount attaches to an active monthly plan — it is not paid out as cash, doesn't survive cancellation, and annual plans aren't eligible (they already carry a structural discount).
8. Your statutory rights
ARBEX is sold to businesses (dealers, dealer groups, wholesalers) in the United States, so consumer-only protections such as the EU's 14-day distance-selling withdrawal right generally don't apply. Where a mandatory statutory right does apply to you — for example under your local consumer law — this policy doesn't take it away; those rights sit on top of everything above.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as plans and regulations change. Material changes are posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and for significant billing changes we notify active subscribers by email before they take effect.
